Deep appreciation to all members of Compassionate Ocean Zen Center.

Sangha is the community of those who walk together on the path of Dharma—the way of truth and wholeness. Our doors are open to everyone, exactly as you are. Participation in the Sangha is an expression of our deep Interbeing; formal membership is never a requirement to practice, breathe, or sit with us.​

Sustaining Members provide the bedrock of support to our practice center. Member contributions account for about one-third of our total support, allowing us to keep the Dharma accessible through a "post-merit" model of inclusivity. These gifts defray the essential costs of our shared home—including building care, administrative support, and the presence of our teachers. The vitality of our Center depends on the warm hand to warm hand generosity of dedicated practitioners who choose to sustain this refuge for the benefit of all.

Sustaining Members are also invited to take an active role in the stewardship of our Center. All members who pledge by September 30 (and whose membership is paid in full) are eligible to participate in the election of members to the Board of Directors at our Annual Meeting each spring. As a gesture of mutual support, members also receive discounts on select programs and retreats.
